Access to Health Care Records Act 2000/ Access to Personal Files Act 1987

The Access to Health Care Records Act, together with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Access to Health Records Act 1990, gives all patients the right to see their own health records, reports, X-ray films and electronically stored data. The Access to Personal Files Act 1987 mainly covers records that involve housing and social services.
